Sidhu Moosewala's new song draws millions of views, plans for hologram tour revealed
CHANDIGARH — A new release from slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala is rapidly gaining traction online, drawing millions of views within minutes and sparking widespread discussion among fans.
The song, titled “Eyes On Me,” premiered on YouTube to an audience of approximately 160,000 live viewers. Within minutes of its release, the video amassed hundreds of thousands of views and began trending across social media platforms.
The teaser for the track, released three days earlier, generated significant anticipation, receiving about 1.4 million likes on Instagram and 3.1 million views on YouTube.
The nearly three-minute video features dramatic imagery, including masked armed individuals, a luxury G-Wagon driving through rain and scenes involving violence. Some visuals appear to reference past threats against the artist, including an explosion outside a court complex and armed figures.
Lyrics in the song touch on themes of fear, violence and betrayal, with references to danger and mortality woven throughout. The video concludes with an emotional sequence depicting Moosewala leaving his home for a final journey, with his father, Balkaur Singh, seen bidding him farewell.
The release follows the success of Moosewala’s earlier track “B-Town,” which garnered more than 10 million comments on YouTube and became one of the most-commented videos globally.
At the end of the new video, an announcement teases the upcoming launch of an official clothing brand under Moosewala’s name.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for a hologram-based international tour titled “Signed to God World Tour.” The production is expected to use 3D projection technology to recreate the late singer’s stage presence for live audiences.
Organizers say the tour is planned to span eight countries, including India, Pakistan, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Australia and New Zealand.
Moosewala, 28, was shot and killed on May 29, 2022, in Punjab’s Mansa district, in a killing that sent shockwaves through the global Punjabi music community.
